This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar identifiers Herbcare uses on traditionalherbcare.com, why we use them, and how you can control them. It is a companion document to our Privacy Policy.
What is a cookie
A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device (phone, tablet, laptop) when you visit. It lets the website remember something between page loads or between visits. Some cookies are set by the website you are on (first-party). Others are set by services embedded in the page, such as analytics or advertising (third-party). Related technologies such as web beacons, local storage, and pixel tags do similar work; we treat them together with cookies for the purposes of this policy.
The categories we use
1. Essential cookies
These are strictly necessary for the site to function. Without them, forms cannot be submitted, your choice on our consent card cannot be remembered, and error pages cannot be shown correctly. They do not track you across other websites and cannot be switched off through the consent card.
Typical examples on this site:
- A session cookie set by WordPress when you submit a contact form or newsletter sign-up.
- A local-storage key that records whether you have made a choice on the cookie consent card, so it does not reappear on every page load.
- The Cloudflare security cookie that keeps our site available and blocks abusive traffic.
2. Analytics cookies
Analytics cookies help us understand which articles are being read, how long readers stay, and where readers arrive from. We use this to decide what to cover next and to notice when a page has an obvious problem.
Typical examples on this site:
- Google Analytics 4 identifiers set through Google Site Kit. IP addresses are anonymised where the configuration allows.
- Google Search Console verification metadata (a meta tag rather than a cookie).
Analytics cookies fire only if you accept them through the consent card. Denying analytics does not prevent you from using the site.
3. Advertising cookies
Once display advertising is enabled on the site, advertising cookies allow Google and other advertising partners to serve ads that are more likely to be relevant to you, to measure how those ads perform, and to limit the number of times you see the same ad.
Typical examples once ads are live:
- The Google AdSense cookies that let the network deliver and measure ads. This includes the DoubleClick cookie (
IDE), which is used to serve ads across Google’s publisher network. - Cookies set by third-party advertising partners in the AdSense supply chain. A current list of these partners is published by Google in its advertising policies help centre.
Advertising cookies fire only if you accept them through the consent card. Denying advertising does not prevent you from using the site; you may still see non-personalised ads.
How to change your choice
You can open the consent card at any time by clicking Cookie settings in the footer of any page. From there you can accept or deny each category separately and save the change.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or by using the industry opt-out pages at www.aboutads.info (Digital Advertising Alliance) and www.youronlinechoices.eu (European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance).
Do Not Track
Most browsers include a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. There is no agreed industry standard for how a website should respond, and we do not currently respond to DNT signals separately from the consent card. If a legal standard for DNT emerges we will update this section.
Global Privacy Control
Where the browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal we treat it as an opt-out of advertising cookies for that browser, in line with how the CCPA and comparable US state laws expect us to handle GPC. We record this per browser, not per person, so switching devices or browsers will require a fresh signal.
Changes to this policy
If the list of cookies we use changes materially we update this page and refresh the “Last updated” date at the top. Small operational updates (a version change to an existing analytics or advertising cookie, for instance) may not always be footnoted.
