A note to the editors

We would love to hear from you

Questions, suggestions, collaborations, or simply a quiet hello. Write to us using the form below, or reach the right desk directly from the sidebar.

Send a note

Plain language is fine. Take whatever length feels right; we read every message that arrives.

A short phrase helps us route your note. e.g. "A tradition we should explore" or "Editorial collaboration".

Before you write

A few quiet questions, answered

How soon will I hear back?

Most readers hear from us within five working days. Editorial enquiries (collaborations, pitches, syndication) sometimes take a week or two, depending on what the desk is working through.

Do you reply to every message?

Almost always, yes. The exceptions are unsolicited PR pitches that have nothing to do with the journal, and messages that look automated. Anything written by a person about something in the journal gets a personal reply.

Can I contribute writing?

Yes, we read every pitch. Send a paragraph or two about what you would like to write, your relationship to the tradition, and any examples of your previous work. Editorial address is in the sidebar.

Will my email be added to anything?

No. We use the address you give us only to reply to your message. To receive the Sunday Letter you need to sign up separately on the newsletter page.
